Beautiful stay in two bedroom two bathroom apartment. The beds were comfortable and clean, extra pillows towels etc all available. The view from the apartment was great, a bit of noise from the street below at night as to be expected from being right in the city but not too disturbing. Kitchen had full size fridge and microwave/cooktop to make meals. The rooftop pool made our afternoon magical, absolutely stunning views. Very close walk to train station and Woolworths for access and supplies. Would stay again.
Thankfully our room was clean, however the shower did overflow. There is nowhere to charge phones in bedroom and the TV in bedroom was not working. The location is not family friendly if this is what you’re looking for - next to many adult clubs and seemed like a lot of apartment parties going on. Fire alarm went off both days we were there. Booked it for the rooftop pool but it gets so packed with people you just want to go back and sit in the aircon in your room.
The hallways have a horrible smell that I can’t even describe what it is similar to. Definitely not cleaning products… no aircon or air flow in the hallways so makes it a lot worse.
Average hotel for the price tbh.
Location is great, however it took us over an hour to work out where to take the car and actually checkin. Finally get to our room and the pillowcases are stained, the rubbish bins haven’t been emptied which wreaked of cigarettes and there is still food in the cupboard from the people before us. I work at a fellow Accor Hotel and For the lprice you pay at this hotel it’s definitely not worth it for the level of cleanliness and reception service is not quite up to scratch either.
Our room (309) was very unclean, there was brown stains on the carpet that made us feel sick. The showers had mould and the water was overflowing, poor drainage. The only good experience was the roof top swimming pool.
Our hotel room was so filthy I wouldn't let my family take their shoes off. The rug was brown with stains, no doona cover on one of the beds, shower over flowed, TV didn't work, stains on carpet which could have easily been removed with a steam cleaner. We are silver member with Accor and were never offered a welcome drink, we were treated like any other clients. The only redeeming feature is the roof top pool.
ETA - we stayed in room 309 (2 bed 2 bath) on the 10-11th November 2023.
I booked a room for the night Sunday 15/10 upon arrival to the room it was grubby and smelt musty. On further inspection behind the bath were old shower caps from previous guests and alot of dust and human hairs. I also scolded my feet and legs in the bath due the the cold and hot being put on the opposite side so incorrectly labelled. Hopefully you dont hurt any children with this because the water is very very hot...We pulled out the blanket from cupboard which had a fake eyelash stuck to it so obviously not washed, then under the pull out couch in lounge room was a used condom with a few cashews and what not. Where the windows open there was clearly alcohol and foot prints down the whole wall under the window..so very disappointing. There is hardly anything in the rooms so not sure why the cleaners cannot do the job right. We also booked the Mt cootha spa room which was a complete waste of time as the TV and surround sound would not connect so we couldn't hear any music or TV, pretty poor effort from such a big hotel brand they can't live up to services offered throughout the hotel.
As I checked out I informed staff of these things and they just shrugged it off and said sorry about that.
I have stayed at this location many times previously but it seems your standards have literally dropped to 1 star.
Definitely won't be recommending this to any of my family or friends.
Terrible
This place is not a hotel. It's a residential property. There is a line up for the lift if you arrive near 5pm. It has a real scummy feel from the moment you walk in the building. The photos WAY, WAY exaggerate the reality and thats being generous. The corridors stink of smoke and dogs. It's delightful. You are miles away from reception, and good luck getting help if you need it. Whilst the rooms are clean-ish, they are filled with cheap junk that is quite run down. I'd never stay here again... Never ever. If you are excited about staying near the strippers, getting lost in a monstrosity building, having zero assistance, and sleeping in an awful bed with stained sheets and pillows, then this is the place for you!
Really disappointed by this hotel. Location not in the best part of Fortitude Valley not very safe or kid friendly neighborhood due to adult clubs located nearby and high number of homelessness. Lots of vacant stores nearby. …
